Yeah, I got bored and started playing with the rotor.
Just don't get carried away "playing with the rotor" too much because even at spun-by-hand speeds those big rotors can cause a serious injury.
I had a really close call with one of my Model 5s when I put my hand on the stator before the rotor stopped. And it was barely moving. Now I wrap EVERY siren stator with
exposed ports like that in 3/8 square hardware cloth before I put the rotor on. I even did it with my model 2. Adam Pollack had a really bad experience with a rotor if I remember correctly.

I'm aware of that. Scott Nelson also got one of his fingertips lobbed off by an SD-10.

I will never touch another siren rotor again after what happened with Bryan's 2T22 and that "safety wire"...

I've been super careful around my P-10. But I can't resist joking with my dad, "I dare you to stick your finger in it."

He had this wire running through the nut that mounts the rotor to the motor shaft. It was clipped off at such an angle that the edges were razor sharp. I spun up the rotor near the center of the shaft to keep away from the ports and when I took my hand away my index finger caught the edge of that wire.
