Sirens capable of hi-lo are rather rare. In most places, the fire signal is either three long blasts or five cycles of attack. I've heard every kind of fire signal from a one minute alert (for a coding siren that no longer coded in Ashland, OR) to three minutes of attack (Blue Earth, MN) to twelve cycles of attack (Burns, OR). In short, the fire signal can be anything.

I guess we now know the difference between the Slow and Fast rotation speed settings for the MD. Slow is 3 to 4 RPM and Fast is 8 RPM.

I think it is pretty cool that an Allertor shroud is fitted onto it. I didn't know they could actually do that.

I'm actually trying to find out about that. I asked them if it was an exact replacement or if they had to modify it any

Heard back from them, they said it was a perfect fit no modification needed

Could they have custom ordered the horn from ACA/ASC?

They probably bought it back when the Allertor was still in production. Or picked up from siren contractor.
