We had originally planned on recording the downtown Knox STH-10 at noon, but me being the person that I am, I forgot Knox was on central time so we were there an hour early.

Knox STH-10

After that fiasco, we went up the Subway to grab some lunch and kill some time. After about 30 minutes of debating, we decided to hide a camera at the STH-10, and go to the Sentry 7V8 on the south side of Knox since neither have us have heard one.

The Sentry did not sound. We did hear the STH-10 off in the distance so at least we got a recording. (Benefits of hiding cheap used cameras!

Now time to backtrack 35 miles to Tippecanoe to pick up the camera that we left there earlier. Fun right? Oh yes! Especially when you pass through Argos!

So by this time it's about 2PM and we still have some more siren hunting to do, in Culver. Culver is a town that has more money than it knows what to do with, and as a result they have an extensive network of sirens for a town their size. Some are covering nothing but fields.
This T-128 is located off of SR 10, about a half mile west of Pear Rd on the NE side of Lake Maxinkuckee.

The disconnect is about a foot off the ground, with no lock. I could turn this thing off if I really wanted to.

This one is located on the SE side of the lake near Washington Cemetery and Mystic Hills Golf Club. And yes, that's a house being built right next to it.

Moving along to the West side of the lake, we have this 128 on 19th road near Tamarack road.

Me being a goof as usual

I knew Culver had an STH-10 on the south side of town, but was never really able to pin point where it was exactly. After driving block after block, I almost said screw it, let's go. Then Austin spotted this. An STH-10 that replaced a really beat up Fedelcode Model 3. These sirens are located at Ohio and Davis streets, across from a bar and grill.

Travel a few blocks North, and you'll find this

This T-112 is located at the town hall/police dept. It replaced a really beat up Darley Model 5.
Still heading North, you'll find this STH-10 across from the Park 'N Shop

Now for the 2 rural T-128s. These don't really cover much.
This one is located at 16th and Union roads, as the tag depicts.

This one is located off of 15B road on the curve a mile east of Redwood Rd.

Finally, before leaving town, we stopped at Culver Academies to see their very old Federal Model 5. This along with 3 others were put up in 1949. The city of Culver offered to have T-112s put on campus, but they declined.
