You're not too far from my shop. I have rebuilt a few sirens for fire companies in suburban Philadelphia and might be able to help.

Im a Captain at East Lansdowne Fire Co and also run at Drexel Hill Fire Co. This siren went to collingdale fire co number one. I was helping another company out. I do pager/radio work and station alerting systems on the side down here.

Ahh!! Collingdale had STH-10's on both of their stations if my memory serves me, I heard the one at Station 1 before... Sounded really good and healthy, sorry to hear it took a dump. Either Lansdowne or East Lansdowne has a Modulator... Any idea if it is used for the fire department?

Yes sir. At East Lansdowne we have an sth10. Lansdowne has a modulator that is used fore fire calls. They used to have an sth10. Its still mounted on top of the borough hall but no longer used. The sth10 at collingdale 2 was just turned back on earlier this year. Does not sound good... sounds very under powered and I'm wondering if they lost a leg. I going to ask them if they want me to check it.
