T-128 or 508 and 2001 near Paducah, KY

Mon Nov 04, 2013 10:45 pm

Not sure if these are coming from Paducah or nearby Calvert City. I thought Paducah still had Tbolts which sound in Attack, but these sirens sound in Alert.

I'm 90% sure that low-pitched single toned siren in the beginning is the Thunderbolt that's located behind what used to be an auto parts store on Bridge Street, just off of Hwy 62. That's the only siren I'm aware of in the area they were driving through, and the tone sounds right for a T-bolt 1000. Also, it appears based on what I could find online that Paducah (and the rest of McCracken County for that matter) has switched to running a steady alert signal for warnings now, for whatever reason; the wailing attack signal worked so much better than the steady tone they're using now.

Thanks Ian for the info. I agree, the Attack signal they used before was much more effective, particularly on the Tbolts.
