AF Timer help (yes again) with new updated video

So is it just the test button that's not working? Sounds like a worn out button if that's the case (and no need for a multimeter at this stage). Jump the terminals behind the test button and see if that works. If not, jump terminals 1 & 3. BE CAREFUL when jumping as you are dealing with 120 & 240 volts!

Well you might have a issue with the wires running to the siren, hence the AF timer isn't giving the power to the siren or controllers to tell them or it to fire up.

The AF does not send any power to the motor starter. Advice is welcome, but please don't guess at things.

That works, but it's easier to just take a piece of wire and jump the terminals, especially if you are novice at wiring. Plus jumping at the button terminals eliminates any possibilities after the button.

Sure Jason, But seeing more "Younger" people working on sirens, better to teach safety first won't you say ? Not saying getting "Zipped" few times isn't fun.....lol....

I hate that I'm being on the bad side of safety but Ian told me how to wire up this one in a simple way to get it to work. Ian and Jeb have wired up many old sirens and reinstalled then in communities and he has yet to have an AF or AR Timer fail in the field that was wired this way. I think I'm going to take his word on this one.

PS: From the first post you made I am pretty sure the correct way to say that sentence is " That is why I would "switch" the wires round... not that way.

Sounds to me like if the timer is causing the the starter to engage and you're not getting anything from the siren then there's an issue with the siren itself and not the control end. If what I'm following is correct then your timer is making your motor starter engage then somethings wrong with the siren end. Have you tested the siren it self?
