Do you know what type of CD logo is on the horn? I would like to see a clear image of one because Toronto had one or two with that same logo.
So the Toronto MDs were donated from a US city rather than shipped straight from the company?

I also like that B&M initially used metal. Harder to fabricate, but so much better-looking than sprayed-on fiberglass.

I bet they came right from the company. It was probably just standard to give each unit a CD logo. It's not uncommon for manufacturers to make things that haven't been ordered by the consumer yet.

No they were sent right to Canada. The first Mobil Directo to come to Toronto had that same logo and an American CD logo above the maker tag. As far as I know It was the only one but that was the very first shipment in the mid 50's. All MD's probably had those logos when made and didn't care when they shipped them. I know there was a problem with the original shipment and not sure if they were removed or shipped back.

Cool! I just saw Sheboygan got a new T-121. They might be switching to ASC, because the rest of their system is 2001's.

Anyone have an idea where I can find the top horn for my Mobil Directo. I've been out of touch for awhile and haven't worked on it due to a shortage of money but things are looking up and I'd love to get it finished. This is the only piece I don't have. Couple of years ago there was one for sale in Canada but I doubt that it's still there. ANY help someone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, hemijoe in Hartford,Wisconsin
