this doesn't pass the sniff test. You'd need a lot more than that to run a 50 hp induction motor from a battery supply. you'd need three inverters which would have to be huge to handle the required current, and if you wanted it to run for more than 15 seconds you'd need a lot of batteries.

maybe it was just retrofitted with a Federal controller?

Yeah...a battery backup P-50 would require a battery box the size of a Volkswagen. One battery change out would break the EMA budget.
