Saw my first DSA and ATI 4-way siren today

Fri Aug 15, 2014 6:23 am

Had to run to Cumming to get a book for Lisa's classes she's taking, and on the way back from the Lanier Tech campus we spotted an 8 horned ATI and a little further down the road at a ballfield we spotted a DSA mounted on a light pole. The DSA was on Collins Hill Road, off Highway 316, and I can't remember the name of the road the ATI was on...we were frustrated and ready to get home.

The reason I post this is...these sirens seem small. Not sure how they can be defined as loud, lol

Yeah, those smaller DSA's are tiny. They had a 3 horned one at blue valley public safety when I was there, and it wasn't much bigger than a Siratrol.

Smaller DSAs are like little PAs in terms of loudness. Our WPS 28/2902s are a bit louder despite running at the same wattage as the DSAs in Lee County Al.

The DSA you're talking about is the siren for GGC. They also have a MOD-II on building C
