siren test prevented robbery

Wow! That's amazing how a tornado siren can foil a robbery! I wonder what would have happened if the store worker pushed a siren activation button to scare him off. :D

Timber Lake's bar has that a button that if a person tries to rob them he/she pushes the a button & there sentry goes off on attack mode forever until someone shuts it down.

Holy shizzzz!

The guy must be really dumb if he thinks that he's heard police-sirens; if outdoor warning sirens sounded exactly like that, I wouldn't be listening to them! :P
Seriously, though, the sirens have really proven themselves worthy of more than just meteorological warnings.
Good story!

Are you serious? Dang, that must be freaky. Was it approved by the local PD? Because, in my opinion, you don't need to notify everyone within a mile that you are being robbed. (It does provide publicity, and many people may try to run in and attack the robber to foil the attempt. And, if he's got a getaway car, you know he'll be walking back home!)
Do you know what kind of Sentry it is? (I was thinking of a 40V2T or whatever at the time, and I was taken aback until I realized most sirens aren't that powerful.)

OK, I was worried it was something that could cause severe hearing damage to anyone in the bar...
PD, sheriff, same thing...
