A couple of recent photos from my travels...
During a recent trip to Richmond I stopped by this star-spangled Model 5 at the Wagstaff Circle VFD. It is one of several old fire sirens left in Chesterfield County, all but one of which are long disconnected.
On the way back from said trip I also visited this Surry 2906 off US 60 in Williamsburg. Once upon a time
a 10V2T sat on the shorter pole next to it.
I ran across this cute little Model 2 in downtown Newport News today while driving around after filming the ambiance I posted in the A/V forum. Unfortunately I didn't have my usual camera on me, so the pictures are a bit on the mediocre side. I intend to get better shots of it on Saturday...perhaps even a walkaround. Who knows.
Based on the 1964 OCD list, I believe this is one of the city's original CD sirens.
Don't wait. Take a siren photo today.
I was VASirens, but I moved. ⁕

Proud owner of a frozen Model A, a Darley Champion "L", an Ademco 12V beehive, a few horns, a brass whistle and several old weather radios that sound like sirens. Those last three count, right?
