Here's a Model 5 (7? I'm still new to distinguishing between the two, sorry if I'm incorrect) at a children's playground in Killbuck, OH. I thought this was not only way too close to a playground, but mounted rather low too.

That doesn't look very low to me, but it's definitely rather poorly placed. It's literally ON the playground, haha. I don't know about most kids, but if I were there while young and it went off, I'd probably be traumatized for life. (I hated loud noises as a kid.)

I liked sirens as a kid, but I didn't even know what they looked like nor was I a fan of loud noises at the time. Nowadays, it would probably explain my tinnitus and loss of hearing particularly in my left ear! But on the playground isn't the smartest idea IMO.

Speaking of poorly placed it was a common thing in the 50's and 60's to place a T-bolt less than 50 feet from the local Elementary School window. Got to wonder how many kids suffered hearing damage in the Duck and Cover test days.
