2T22B Acquisition

Mon Aug 24, 2015 9:27 pm

Some of you may already know, but for those of you that don't, last weekend, I acquired a 1978 Federal 2T22B from the small town of Pleasant Hope, MO. The siren seems to be in perfect operating condition, other than the bearing needing to be replaced. I only got the siren, no controls, motor starters, or pole mounts. Here are a few pictures:

After removing a few horns:

After removing the top intake and cap:

All the horns stacked up:

Siren on the pallet until I can get a stand made; Notice all the horns are off, as well as the bottom intake:

That's all for now. I will start the restoration process in the winter
