5/6 port Model 2T's?

Fri Oct 09, 2015 8:03 pm

Just a question that's been boiling in my head all day. Were they ever made?
Down to a Thunderbolt chopper, still a few goofy flashlight-siren combos, and a Model L.

I've always wanted to drop a 5/6 rotor from a Thunderbolt into a model 2T.

I think there was a video circulating somewhere on one of the bigger pages (maybe Ian, if I remember correctly) that slapped a 5/6 chopper into a single tone 2, and both tones worked, but the 5 ports were obviously louder than the 6 because of the stator.

I don't know if FS officially made 5/6 port 2's though. I could see that as a possibility, or even a custom order, though.

^Ian M. did that. You can't really hear the 6 port side of the rotor since the ports don't match up.

I forgot I even did that! Tyler Shaw (antiwhoknows) also did the same thing with his around the same time, but if I remember correctly he actually ran it up at least close to peak, which I didn't do for some reason. I don't believe he has the video of his version up on his YouTube account anymore, though it could have been set as an unlisted video from the beginning.
