I posted this photo before many of you were born. Air is drawn in at the bottom of the rotor and the top is a solid plate. This was the old fire siren from Pacific City, Oregon. Crescent City, California, had one of these at their fire station until the mid-1980's.

Wow. Thanks for the picture. What would be an appropriate name for this? A Federal Electric Model 3? And were Model 5/7s made in this fashion?

Something tells me it may be, as the earlier Model 3/5/7's had a shorter motor than the later Federal S&S/ FS Models.

Any ideas on what this wacky looking thing is? Its obviously some sort of old horizontal. I hope that the FD knows all that those "projectors" are gonna do is collect rainwater...
