It's just 4 off the shelf Atlas speakers. Could be used for a great deal of things.

That's a common arrangement for electronic carillon speakers. It there a street clock nearby, or is that building a church or university building?

No clock nearby, and it is not a church or university building which makes me wonder what it is used for and why it is there.

I guess this isn't technically a mystery siren per say since I finally zoomed in enough to read the tag, but it is a mystery to me who came up with this engineering plan and why they would do this. This is at the Backwater Fire Department in West Virginia, I couldn't figure it out but took a bunch of photos and than promptly forgot about it LOL. The siren is an HOR Siro-drone with some modifications, ungodly looking modification that serve no purpose LOL

Now this one on the other hand is a mystery, I think it has been posted countless times before along with a few others just like it. I would normally blow it off as a modification that the fire department had done, but the fit and finish is wwwwaaayyy to nice to be something Joe's Welding shop did... I have wondered for quite awhile if this was not an option offered by Federal at some point with only a few in existence. This siren is at the Topton Fire Department in Berks County, Pa, I would love to be there when they get a call just to hear what might be under the hood!!

Given that it isn't even the first Model 5 of some kind we've seen with horns like that, I could definitely see how it might have been a factory option at some point in time.

Speaking of 5s, I've been doing some poking around Quebec lately...the place is littered with Model 2s, 3s, and 5s, from Saguenay to the American border. This is one of the few things I've found that isn't a 2/3/5. But just what is it? https://goo.gl/maps/csbLhQuuXES2
Don't wait. Take a siren photo today.

It has a tall stator, like a Model 3 would have. However, the motor seems to be too tall. It seems to be a Model 3 without a shroud and modified/replaced motor
