stand conversion

Can you make a siren with a pole mount setup into a roof mount siren? It appears that the only differance is a triangular looking thing on the bottom. The pole mount might be a bit longer, but should work in my thoughts.

A triangular-looking thing at the bottom, you say? Are you referring to an E-57 siren? An E-57 siren can rest on a small pole which can be attached to a roof. I have seen a local ESA 20-01 standing on a small pole, with the pole resting against a [possibly an elevator-room] small utilities-room on the building.

if you look at the site photos, you will see the pic of a STH-10 next to a model 5, and on the bottom of the STH-10 is a triangular thing on it.

The triangular array of bars is for mounting the siren on a straight-running roof.

That is what I thought. So I would like to say one could make a home-made one of those and toss it on the roof mounting stand to make it able to stay on a roof?

If you have the right dimensions, yes.

The solution with the trialgular array of bars is the best way to mount a siren on a straight-running roof. You can also use a small pole and mount it on a wall.
