Interesting Allertor Color

That IS a great color combination... Can we sneak over and remove that siren? It would look REALLY nice mounted in the bed of my black & yellow '79 Toyota...Charles

Would look perfect on your vehicle!
And ram air may make it sound if you could shield the snorkel to keep air from entering.
In the early 70's I transported several ranks of organ pipes to a church in an open pick-up.
Wish I could have recorded all the strange whistling and howling.

Usually yellow, just not as vibrant.

Wow. I like it. Looks like it's well maintained too. When I went to visit my grandma at Christmas I noticed a rather sad looking Alletor about three blocks from her place. I'm wondering if they have any other types of siren around too since before all I've ever seen are xT22s. I'm going to try and snag a picture when I go visit her next month.

I've never seen an Allertor colored like this before, but it's definitely a cool look! The yellow and black both look to be in really good shape.

This Allertor looks like it was well taken care of! The utility pole looks new also! That is how you should take care of an outdoor warning device.

Judging by the looks of the rotor, it looks like it's a single toned, 8-blade siren, with the rotor looking like a larger Federal Signal Model 5 low-tone siren. Also, the yellow looks more like that of a bumblebee, than a typical civil defense siren.

Yes I agree 100.00.000.000.000 % with ye.
But sadly nobody even does this at all. Reason: "It Costs MONEY."
turning it on just to see if it runs is a poor way to find out it dont work in my opinion.
