The multi signal Hurricanes with solenoid-operated guillotine valves usually went to oil refineries, chemical plants, and fire stations that used sirens. Its valves were similar to a Thunderbolt 1003's except they were located inside the horn shroud, mounted along the stator spacers that join the chopper assembly to the horn shroud. The five signals used by the multi-signal Hurricane were Steady, Wail, Hi-Lo, Pulse, and (if memory serves) Yelp. Notice Hi-Lo and Pulse were both 'steady' - ACA never did the wailing variations like Federal did.
I know that since most ACA sirens weren't coded, I'm guessing their main control box didn't have a HI-LO setting. Did they have to ship a different control box for the coded Hurricanes? Also, what makes you think it is a multi-signal siren? Is there anything different about these pictures from other Hurricanes?
I own: One complete SiraTone, another SiraTone control module, a 1600W MC, 2 old ATI controllers, 2 round ATI horns with drivers, a ATI-DSA 4 thing, a Federal Signal FC, AR timer and Siratrol, and a small CD&F.
