Olney, TX B-series 1003 info

Sat Jun 04, 2016 7:48 pm

Hey guys,
I've been trying to get information about the Olney siren system. Emailed a couple city employees (emergency management, fire, police, etc.) about whether or not/when they test their sirens but never heard back. Been wanting to make the hike up there for awhile now to film their 1003 but didn't want to unless I had a pretty good idea the damn thing would go off.
Does anyone know if/when they might test their sirens?
I know Wichita Falls tests theirs the first Monday (although I don't know the time of day, isn't listed on their website; does anyone know that time?) and it's in pretty close proximity, so maybe Olney does as well? Although much of Texas does first Wednesday testing, so I'm not really sure what to expect.
Any info would be helpful, thanks!
My girlfriend does not understand this at all. Actually I really don't either.

...well I went out there anyway this afternoon and stumbled upon the correct test time (noon). The town's other two sirens went off (found an allertor but didn't care enough to locate the second) but the 1003 did nothing. Guess she's dead.

I've not seen that siren move in quite sometime. Been out there twice this spring while chasing. I'll call the EMA in Wichita Falls and see if he has a good contact for Olney. I'd like to see it run, along with Holliday's B-series
