Are my eyes playing tricks on me, or does it appear that the siren is just an empty shroud?

Looks like a garbage can with louvers cut out. I bet federal doesn't even care because their quality is crap and almost nobody wants their products.

Great, now I'm imagining a 2001 with ATI drivers.
if we still had a "smite" button, I'd be hammering it like crazy right now ;)

Because these sirens are made in China, and China is impervious to American laws.
Which is why there are crappy knockoffs out there.

I've found the seeming lack of logic behind the bicycle siren most entertaining since the first time I saw it. Especially the 4 seater model. I'm still trying to figure it out, sitting on top of a pole or building pedaling durring a storm or actual air raid would be the worst place to be. The only answer I could come up with it would be used by places where the operators would be military and not have a choice in the matter.

I guess it could come in handy for an all-clear when no electrical power is available.
