Re: My New Toy (formerly Tboltfan no longer owns a T-Bolt)

I got an email back from Federal. They said they do not sell spare parts,
Who did you email at federal?
They don't sell parts for their thousands of sirens they have out there? That's a new one :\
This page on their site has contact info on it...

It's been a few years but I have called Federal at least a dozen times in the past and talked to their parts people.
I never messed with email. I called the number and asked for the parts department. They put me right through.
The last thing I bought from them was a Model 2 stator I put on one of my extra 1000 chopper motors to make a Model 2 out of it.
The first few times I called them I got brush caps and brushes from them.
One time I called them I had a whole list of old Thunderbolt part numbers I asked them to look up to see if they were still good numbers.
Most of them weren't good any longer but they looked up every number for me to see if they were still good.
The chopper armature part number was still good because it was the same as a model 2. They gave me the price which was about the same as
the local motor shop wanted to rewind the armature. Seems like it was about $257 back then.

I just emailed the customer service. I'll have to call them later today and see how that goes. I did receive the parts numbers for the parts I need, but I still need to get off my dead rear end and call Federal. I haven't done it yet because I've been down and out with strep and my computer broke.

For grins I cobbled together a little display for the 2. Hopefully the HOA won't be Nazis about it like they were when I owned the Tbolt.
