Federal Signal model PL information

First time poster here and I need some help. I'm working on a Federal Signal Model PL that is used on a overhead crane at my plant. I'm looking for information on the "device" that connects the sirens fan motor to the damper flapper. I realize that I'm most likely going to have to make this "device", but I have nothing to go by, and Federal Signal Tech Support was no help.

I believe the "device" is a connecting rod of some shape and size.

Can someone help me identifying the "device" and how it is installed?
