Connecticut Siren Locations

Thu Feb 01, 2018 6:42 pm

Hello. I am another siren enthusiast from CT. I have worked on this map using information from my friend Lily Dane, and from Dan Drega's advanced knowledge of sirens around the state.

Tell me if there is anything I need to fix, add, or delete.

Your site on Oak Tree Dr. in waterbury was not a Tbolt. It was a Model 2.

Also, I got two Stamford 'bolt locations for ya:
Lockwood Ave. at Frank St.
Newfield Ave. btw. Meghan Ln. and Gray Farms Rd.
25, unfortunately not dead yet.

That Model 5/7 in Tolland on top of the framing shop sure is in an odd place!

I hate to say it, but it looks like the Stamford bolts are gone.

It looks like 50 oak tree is a bolt. There is a platform for a blower, and a pole with a controller, and wires.

Both of the Stamford sirens are still there. They’re really well hidden.

I do not think so, 2016 has it, 2017 says it is gone

No need to be so rude about it. I can see them clearly on both aerial and streetview. Also the streetview is from Aug. 2017 at the roof mounted bolt as well as Newfield Ave. May I ask where are you getting the notion that they are both gone, although they are clearly there on satellite and street views? Perhaps you saw them in person? The only Stamford siren I know of being gone was on Atlantic St. somewhere.

I was not trying to be rude. Sorry if that is how it came across
