Ok here's an update. The restoration is going to take a long time to complete due to the money we have right now. I and my family have more important things that our money has to go to currently at the moment. So it will be a while until anything really starts to happen. Im hoping in a few months I can get the two motors ,since I have to get another 1 HP motor since the one I got is defective and it will cost more to fix it rather thenn buying a whole new one. Then the 5 HP motor will happen a few months after I get the 1 HP motor because I need to make more money. Then by March next year I should have enough money by then to get the horns and frame assembly made. So this thread will be a ghost town for quite a while until ,but its not a done thread. If you have any questions ,don't hesitate to ask me.

Bump. This thread isnt over with or forgotten ,I just wanted to give you all an update on whats going on here. I have finally got enough money again to buy another 1 Hp motor as the one I got back in March was defective from factory which sucks :x But the good news is I will hopefully be ordering another one this weekend ,and ill be sure to get it with a warranty just in case it arrives defective. Next will be the 5 Hp motor which Will probably be around Christmas time. And then after that will be the frame and horns.

This has got to be the most exciting thread I've ever seen on the boards, in my time at least (which is, comparatively not much, but still). Best of luck to you for such an amazing restoration project. I'll be keeping up with your progress!
sincerely yours, a weird siren obsessed deer 🦌

GREAT NEWS!!!! I finally got another motor for the rotor after the defective one I got all the way back in March. This motor I got now is from my Grandmas old pool pump that she just recently had replaced ,the motor works great ,but the pump it was powering decided to break and there isn’t parts available for it anymore due to it being an old pump. So she decided to get a new one and I pulled the motor from the old one. So this means the restoration progress will continue now after a long hault. The next thing to do is to get the 5 Hp motor for the blower which will probably happen during my birthday in February.

Alright everyone ,I wanna give you all an update here. So I figured out that the rotor needs a dual capacitor motor since a single capacitor motor doesn't have enough start up torque which leads to it spinning slowly and humming ,and will likely burn up before it gets to 3450 RPM. So I now need to get a dual capacitor 2 Hp motor. I have found one and should get it probably on my birthday. The good thing is that the motor I got from my grandmas old pool pump was free. But now I will need to truly buy a motor.

You can buy chinesium 5 HP 3450RPM motors for fairly cheap as replacements for air compressor motors. I'm not sure if they are legit 5 HP, but I have used one to replace my compressor's original 5HP motor and it works nicely.

The rotor only requires a 1 or 2 Hp motor ,and those size motors only will fit on the sirens motor flange up top. But the blower requires either a 5 or 10 Hp motor rated for 3450 or 3600 RPM.
