Here is my map:

In 1980, the city of Des Moines installed a system of 26 ACA Cyclone 125s. There weren't too many installations of sirens until an F1 tornado (real) touched down in 2000. The county decided to call up Iowa Outdoor Warning Solutions to install sirens. Federal Signal won a bid to install 35 2001-SRNs throughout the county. They also changed any other existing sirens to be part of the county system. Later, in 2015, Emergency Management got a funding boost, so they spent money on adding an additional 26 sirens, also from Iowa Outdoor Warning Solutions, but this time American Signal won the bid. The sirens are tested on the first Saturday of the month at noon in Alert, with no voice no matter the siren (except Ankeny sirens). They go off for tornado warnings in Attack or Wail (Whelens).

Look at the info points and siren descriptions for more information! :)

For the next challenge, you must create a tsunami warning system for San Diego County, CA. All sirens must be electronic, preferably voice capable, but besides that, it is up to you for the models. I will start working on a map of my own, just for fun. Also, sirens only need to be placed at and around the coast. But you can put more if you so desire. ;)

Have fun, guys!

Heres my submission, In 2019 the local government of San Diego decided to put in a new Tsunami warning system, replacing the aging allertors. Whelen quickly took up San Diegos offer and ordered 13 WPS-2902 sirens. WestIowa Siren Systems would take charge in installing the sirens. While working in San Diego, WestIowa Systems also did repairs on the ACA alertronic 8000's that they installed back in the early 1990's.

Here is my map. In the year 2018, San Diego county decided to replace and upgrade its system. The county got master blasters, smaller whelens and many more larger ones. they also got Sentry 3V8-H-Bs has hole fillers.

Alright, after over a month, I'm gonna call the challenge. The winner is...

Jackson95

Congrats! I picked this map because I felt that it covered more crucial areas with a relatively low-cost system. However, I did like WestIowaAg's story, but I felt that the WPS-2902s would have trouble covering all of that area.
