Balch Springs, TX new system

Sat Nov 30, 2019 2:23 am

Drove thru Balch Springs, TX on Thanksgiving and saw they have a new system of Whelen Vortex's. They replaced a system of ACA P-10's.

Oof that's mildly disappointing. Do you know what condition were the P-10s were in?
Architecture preservationist. I enjoy obscure history and mapping things, and grew up around sirens. Not planning to own one.

Yeah, I passed by one a few months ago and was extremely disappointed. They'd put new Compulert radios on their mechanicals (2001, P-10, STH, RM127) just last year, so this kinda feels like a slap in the face. Nobody ever managed to record that system, RIP.

They were in decent shape for their age.
