Re: All ACA Hurricane Locations

Sun May 22, 2016 4:36 pm

Through a newspaper archive search, I discovered that Crystal River, FL, had 3 Hurricane sirens installed in March 1981 and 1 ACA Allertor.
**Edited to reflect mistake I made reading the notes**

There are pictures, although I don't want to post them here because they are copyrighted by the newspaper. The pictures showed a rounded MKII.

Both of the Hurricanes in Greenville, TX are out of service, IIRC. Garland, TX also had some, IIRC.

What about the Centrailia, IL Hurricane 130? There was also a Hurricane MKII on top of the VFW in Addyston, OH.

Crystal River Nuke Plant in FL had some Hurricanes. I don't recall any exact locations but could probably turn some up on historic aerials or something. Cruz found some photos of them getting installed back in like 2016 I want to say. I'll send those along if I dig them up.
