Dying batteries? The pitch is way off.
That reminds me of Tippecanoe's deathly sick Thunderbeam. However...

7 month old video of that same Thunderbeam, that shows it performing much better than 13 years ago.
Wow, that is so very sad! The pitch constantly fluctuates.

It's not that bad compared to when it sounded 13 years ago.

Sounds even worse than Midwest CWS's video.

That's unbelievable it's been sick all these years and they just let it suffer.

It was fixed sometime after Travis's video, but there were no new recordings of it for 12ish years.

Ah yes, the 1000 in Shawnee. From what I heard blue valley tried fixing it twice and then it finally worked.
Sorry for the bump but what exactly was wrong with it? It definitely doesn’t sound like bad brushes or bearings. Was it a problem with the motor itself?
It was bad bearings. Listen to the hiccups every time it winds down and how quickly it winds down overall.

Apologies for the bump, but I found a 2010 video of a Kenosha P-15 which seems to nosedive in pitch before turning off.
Don't think it's been posted in this thread either.

This 1003

https://youtu.be/ZO01BosgFAk

Bearings are completely shot, and the brushes are bad as well. In addition to that, the rotator is broken and the blower is wired backwards

I think the nose dive in pitch is it winding down

Yes but 20 seconds into the video, it seems to be maintaining pitch far longer than a usual wind down would.
