Can't figure out, have fun.
Sorry to bump a 3 year old post, but I've been down that road countless times (I'm even going down it today, I have a doctors appointment nearby) I don't see a fire department or the siren, and the weird thing is that there is a FD very close by with a wrecked Model 5.
That's interesting. The link seems to be a bit broken and it's showing me a spot only a few miles away from me. Can you confirm what road you're seeing and what FD you're talking about?

EDIT: Yeah, that link is very broken and it seems like it shows you a spot relative to where your location is rather than where the original poster intended. I extracted just the coordinates from it, searched them separately in Maps and found this FD in New York. Yeah that's a weird-looking siren. Though there's a possibility that it's just the guts of what used to be a siren.

Architecture preservationist. I enjoy obscure history and mapping things, and grew up around sirens. Not planning to own one.

Oh, okay, that's very strange. Thank you for posting the correct link :)

What is this? I thought it was a Sireno. My friend is buying it to replace his sick MS-390.

Maybe one of the B&M general sirens? that's my only guess

I doubt it. I think its some sort of Sireno rebrand. I think Darley still sells similar models.

I have a Siren Vehicular siren that's somewhat similar in design to that unit. It wouldn't surprise me if it's a Sireno or Darley rebrand.

This was posted here in the early, early days of this thread and no one ever figured it out (not to my knowledge, anyways).

Very unlikely, but that could be an Australian Model 888 (I think). Or could be one of those Super-Banshees that were modified?
Alright, maybe I'll post a few more times

It doesn't have speakers, and the guy who described it described it like 10 dinner plates stacked
