I believe you mentioned in your map of all the Thunderbolts that it was replaced with a Mod.

Which it was, the enclosure is still up there however. I believe it had the head removed and a mod mounted to it.

Oh, that's super interesting. I wonder why they didn't remove the enclosure.
Interestingly enough, I found 2 photos of the school with the Thunderbolt (The quality is atrocious on the 2nd one).

Grifco - A manufacturer of sirens in Australia, went out of the siren business about 20 years ago, All of their models have under 10 remaining, and they are slowly being removed.

I would say the Federal Signal 500 SH-ST (I don't know if that is correct) is pretty rare. There are not many left.

Thought Denver Sirens were already on the list. Denver Quadruplex/Duplex sirens eventually led Interstate Machine products to produce the Sterling variants as well as the M series we all know. Denver sirens may well have been the first commercially produced electronically driven mechanical sirens in the United States.

H.O.R. Si-rex S-10. 4 that I know of, one in Glenside, PA (inactive), one in the Midwest somewhere, and of course the 2 in Massapequa (the other silver one with a lot of louvers is a Super Si-rex S-15)

I don’t think this is a rare siren so I’m not sure if this will be posted but there’s a rare tone recorded by the same guy (Gil Ramirez) of an EOWS 612 that performed a “whoop” tone in Barrington IL, here’s a link below

Actually, the 120 was made by SoCal Edison.
