The last remaining ASC RM-130 in Ardmore, Oklahoma

Sat Dec 11, 2021 3:21 am

Last pictures taken before I moved from Ardmore, OK to Watkinsville, GA. According to an old post about Ardmore's RM-130s, this particular siren replaced a roof-mounted Thunderbolt. In fact, if you look closely, you will see the lower half of the tower mount is colored yellow. The only clue that shows this used to be a Thunderbolt.

I saw this on my Subreddit, thanks for posting it there. Very interesting! I quite like the RM-130.

WOW! Oklahoma to Georgia?! That's definitely one far move!
Interesting how the tower is painted in 2 different colors.
The 130 also seems to be mounted on a bit of blower pipe, but that could be something else.

Assuming you are looking at the part directly under the rotator, I'm pretty sure it's not the blower pipe from the former Thunderbolt. It appears to be a part of the RM-130's mount.
Alright, maybe I'll post a few more times

Yeah, that's what I was talking about. Thanks for clarifying.

Yep, I can confirm. It's just a square pipe welded to horizontal metal beam, which is screwed onto the tower.
