ACA to ASC transition- 1st generation ACA Compulert controller rebranded as ASC

Tue Feb 08, 2022 4:41 am

For most of the 80s and possibly 70s, ACA sirens like the P-50, Allertor, and Cyclone used the ACA RDT/TTS controller:

Some time in the late 80s or early 90s, ACA developed and started using the first Compulert-branded controller:

After the bankruptcy of ACA and during the transition to ASC, the same controller was rebranded with the blue rectangle ASC logo:

As you can see, the innards of the controller hadn't changed one bit, and it still said ALERTING COMMUNICATORS OF AMERICA. I thought this was pretty interesting, seeing that the 1st generation Compulert controller was actually designed by ACA and not ASC as I had originally thought.
