the "carolina fire siren" build saga

Wed Feb 23, 2022 12:55 am

well hearing that thundybolt in vander doing pulse makes me want to revisit this idea. this origionaly came up as a drawing in latin, with eclipse style projectors, but i cant print those unless in 2 pieces, i want to have horns, but ill have to sleep on it... here is my flyer, also this will be a 24v system, because my motor spins 4800, no load, and have a max cont current of 20a, and barely sags rpm under load, and i have a small printer, expect to see some ridiculously tall choppers, for maximum noise. ook, port ratios its gonna be an 8/10, because after hearing that qualicum beach fire siren video i thought it would be really cool to hear a 8/10 hi lo/pulse. also i have a big 5 foot pole in the back of my room, it is being used as a hat stand now lol. i want this thing to be ready just like the p15. the p15 has its deidcated pole, so its always ready, i dont have to get it up on the porta-pole, wire up a controller, etc, ect. some more posts to make any english teachers flip, because the number of typos/errors/and (the lack of )punctuation, to come

heres my flyer.

4800 RPM and a printed chopper.
What diameter are you looking at for the chopper?
If it's small (< 4 inches) you should be fine.
If you are thinking a 10 or 12 inch chopper, the centrifugal force on the chopper may well blow it apart at speed.
Please video it for it's first spin ups.... watching it come apart may be interesting

ittl be about 8 inch in dia. i spun up a rotor that big at 5% infill, even dropped a rock on it and nothing happened. ill print it at 100%, and ill have a top reinforcing ring.

That Qualicum Beach, BC fire siren video is a Single Phase CLM and I believe they are 10/12 port with a faster motor making it sound higher pitched?
