Middleburg, VA Sentry 10V - apparently a very early one

Mon Jun 20, 2022 3:28 pm

The Sentry 10V that used to be behind the town hall in my hometown of Middleburg was removed within the last couple months, to make way for the expansion of the town hall. Thankfully, the siren has been saved, and is now on display behind the town museum (where I used to volunteer). I’m eternally grateful this siren didn’t suffer the same fate as the Allertor at the fire station, which has long since been removed. All these years I assumed it was your average 10V, but I got pictures of the label and was told by people on the board that it’s one of the first ones ever made, so apparently quite a find.

By the way, this siren was for EMS calls back in the day, and the Allertor (installed by DC Civil Defense) was for fire calls.
