Andrew is 100% correct. It will make a great stand in for the original projector. As far as durability goes, we have to remind ourselves this will be stored inside 99% of the time- with occasional trips on dedicated trailer. I might make some sort of lightweight prop rod to stabilize the projector for when in transport, but can easily be removed upon arrival

Operation GET TO THE CHOPPA! Has begun. Haha

Got some of the final big parts media blasted today. I just couldn't leave well enough alone, so I immediately brought them home and primed and painted them before the temperature in the shop plummeted.

I also got the spider bearing installed before painting. Perfect fit as expected.

It will be interesting how the centrifugal clutch affects the wind down, as a centrifugal clutch typically will hold to a certain degree on deceleration until well below the engagement rpm. I guess it will depend how freewheeling the VF4 will be with closed-throttle conditions.

Also will be curious how fast the VF4 will wind up. I guess we will all find out soon!

As soon as I get it running!

Things to complete-

Aquire12v Bendix Auto-Choke
Aquire 12v starter solenoid
Plumb up fuel line
Aquire a couple gallons of leaded fuel
Wire up both starting, ignition, and charging system
Fabricate battery box
Tighten down flywheel and install rotator drive pulley
Straighten out, repaint and mount air cleaner
Permanently bolt on stator and bearing spider down with new hardware
