Jefferson Parish does not have a siren system at this time. There are some parishes along the Mississippi River that do have siren systems like St. Charles, St. John the Baptist, and St. James, Ascension etc.

They have a working well Whelen 2805 in Harvey, Louisiana that can be heard a very far away distance. (tests every Friday at noon, recorded it yesterday)

That siren is a part of a plant or refinery witch is for the workers at the plant. They are talking about having a parish wide system.
