Did the best I could with getting the battery box straight. The main body is pretty much too mangled to be straightened. I'm going to take it to my metal fab guy to have a new body bent up in the brake press.
I was able to separate the spot welds on the side panels. I then was able to successfully straighten the side panels. This will really help to keep the original appearance of the box!

Also got the lower rotator belt cover painted!

It's been a bit, But I am so excited to see this old siren have a second chance at life! I bet the next generations will find 508s and restore those! You've come a long way with this siren dude.

Not much. Haven't heard back from my sheet metal guy yet. I did tell him no rush. So it could be another week or two before I see the reproduction battery box body.

There were some runs in the paint on the lower rotator cover, I will have to wet-sand and then do a final spray. I will also clear this component right away as well

I received the throttle solenoid, and I am designing a set of brackets for it right now. It will be cable actuated remotely, with the solenoid closer to the base of the siren.

We are getting down to the putzy little details now, so look for more pedantic updates lol

I literally cannot understate just how excited I am at seeing this rip at Sirencon this year... Absolutely awesome restoration!
