How do people find the sirens for a siren map?

Mon Feb 13, 2023 3:37 am

I see a lot of people using a website that shows all sirens with coverage areas, but I look online and never find anything. The USA Siren Map on google helps a bit, but how did they get those siren locations on the map?

-I am new to the siren community..

Use Google/Bing Maps, and look at fire/police departments, water towers, and around refineries and nuclear plants. You should be able to find quite a lot.
I have a thing for objects that light up or make noise.

I think he is actually referring to the maps that show siren coverage. They are typically put out by EMA agencies or user created.

You can create coverage circles in Google Earth. There are also websites you can use to create circles on a .kmz file, centered over whatever coordinates you enter. It's good for visualizing coverage in a city, but can slow down other users computers.
