And while they're at it, they could even contact the Oakland Tribune Tower to see if they can still use the other Instant blast siren that's on top of the tower! It's a very slim chance that they would do it, but it could be worth the shot.

What siren is up on that tower?!? I might have to find that one!
It's actually the same type of siren that was on the ferry building I was talking about at the beginning of the forum, a Heath Instant-Blast siren! Although, this one didn't come with horns on it for some reason.Fanman wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2024 11:09 pmWhat siren is up on that tower?!?
I guess I was wrong then, but why remove the horns?ArxCyberwolf wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 3:41 amThe Tribune Tower siren did have horns originally, they were later removed.
The RCM and blower are in fantastic condition! Reminds me of Cincinnati's Park Place 1000 that had the RCM and blower inside much like this picture.loukycheckinin wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 11:15 pmI do hope I am posting this in the right spot, but was doing some research about the Thunderbolt in the Ferry Building and came across a post from 21 days ago...some seriously great pics of the Thunderbolt that is up there.

Game of tic-tac-toe anyone?
I am very excited to see more of this siren! Apparently it's fully active, just not included in the activation of the system.

My guess is that they were removed for aesthetic reasons after the siren was decommissioned.Greenrid wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 4:22 pmI guess I was wrong then, but why remove the horns?ArxCyberwolf wrote: ↑Sat Nov 16, 2024 3:41 amThe Tribune Tower siren did have horns originally, they were later removed.
Also, I contacted the ferry building about the 1000, but I'm not sure if they're going to reply properly or they won't activate it. Only time will tell, and If they do give a reply I'll post it here!
It looks like a later 6M judging by the short rotator style! Only those ones had that style of rotator!loukycheckinin wrote: ↑Wed Nov 13, 2024 11:15 pmI do hope I am posting this in the right spot, but was doing some research about the Thunderbolt in the Ferry Building and came across a post from 21 days ago...some seriously great pics of the Thunderbolt that is up there.
