Flagstaff's Flood Siren System

Fri Dec 27, 2024 4:00 pm

The System has 4 Alertus HPSA-4200s in the Northeast Suburbs of the City.

The City of Flagstaff (City) and the Coconino County Flood Control District (District), with significant financial support from the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management, have installed a siren alerting system to help warn residents of imminent flooding in neighborhoods downstream of the Museum Fire burn scar. Installation is complete and the siren alerting system is functioning.

When 1.20 inches of rain falls on the Museum Fire burn scar within 15 minutes, the siren alerting system emits an alarm sound, followed by a voice message repeated three times in English, Spanish, and Navajo, concluding with a wind down siren sound signifying the end of that message.
