Any remaining Peach Bottom or Limerick Thunderbolts?

Thu Mar 20, 2025 10:10 pm

Knowing that there are still several ACA Cyclones remaining from the old Three Mile Island siren system, I have been wondering this for a while. Do any of the old Thunderbolts from Limerick and/or Peach Bottom remain? If so, Where are the locations? I'd like to get more siren tours recorded but don't know where I can find any. (That's only if any still exist, which is why I'm asking.)

I found this on Google Maps satellite imagery. It appears to be a Thunderbolt still standing across the street from a T-128. However, I can't tell as there is no street view of the area.
I got the location from this map here. (Not my map.) https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mi ... 57214&z=16
I don't know for certain, but it definitely looks like there's a Thunderbolt there.

This is a Limerick Thunderbolt still standing as of October 2021. Street view shows a T-128 on the left, and the Thunderbolt on the right. The Thunderbolt has some leaves blocking it but it can still be seen. Satellite view also shows both sirens.
Still, I don't have any way of knowing if it's there currently as I don't live near there. I could possibly take a trip at some point but it will be a while.

This is an old Thunderbolt from the Limerick system still in place as of November 2022. As shown in the image below, there is a T-128 below it. The satellite imagery also appears to show both sirens.
I still don't know for certain if this one is also still in place as of this year. I will have to visit the suspected locations in person to find out, and that most likely won't be anytime soon.

It's gone, googled the address and it's not there on aerial satellite.

They may just be another Peach Bottom Thunderbolt. This picture is from 2023 and the siren is located in southern York County, close to I-83. What's weird is that I don't see a replacement T-128 anywhere around it, so I don't know for sure if this is a Peach Bottom Tbolt.
There is actually a later street view capture of this from 2024, but the quality is not quite as good. It's still there as far as I know.

Who are you trying to fool? I went to the same address on street view, and the imagery you claim to be from November 2022 is actually from 2012. Did you use inspect element or a photo editor to make it seem more recent?

Thanks for the updated information. That's a bummer. :(
Well, on the bright side, you saved me from having to make an hour long trip there. :)

Inspect element? I honestly had no idea that was a thing. That is really weird. I went back to the same address after doing a browser update and now mine also says 2012. Sorry about that. I should have checked more views of the area. My bad.
I know it was a browser problem because I'm familiar with many similar errors with information displayed by Google Maps (and other Google pages) on iOS devices that aren't running the latest version possible. Those iOS devices include the iPad I’m using to access the web and type here.

My goal is not to trick anyone or pass off incorrect information. It was simply an error. I will take everyone's advice and do more checks of areas before posting stuff on here. Sorry about this. Mods, you can lock this thread if you want.
