Hawaii Thunderbolt 11/1/07

Thu Mar 06, 2008 8:13 pm

Of all my siren videos I think this is the remaining WORKING siren video not posted on this board yet. It failed to upload on YouTube so I uploaded it elsewhere.

It's the same video on both sites. The siren is at Waialae Beach Park in Honolulu. It's buried in a tree and watch the horn, it doesn't rotate.

Wow, I'm guessing that when it was installed, those trees must have been small. Otherwise, I doubt they would've installed it there if either they had known the trees would get that big or they were already large. Weird place for a siren though! Nice recording!

Good video. They definitely need to get that rotator fixed, if they haven't already. I love hearing those other Thunderbolts wind down at the end. I've missed that kind of wind-down for a couple of years now. Ever since they set all of the countdown timers on the blowers on all of our Thunderbolts to either one or two seconds, you just can't hear that kind of wind-down in Louisville any more.
