Today i went and recorded one of Topeka's 500AT's. This one is located atop the VA hospital, about 7-9 stories i would guess. You can hear a STL-10 (half mile) and 2001DC (3/4 mile). I had a real nice HQ video, but it was 550MB and it would take days for it to upload onto youtube, but this is ok too.

Nice mixture of sirens I have to admit. That 500AT sounds like a thunderbolt oddly enough. Very interesting tone it creates... know how many ports it might have by chance? :)

A TB chopper on highest setting running 8000RPM 5/6 port will sound like a 10/12 port siren. were as a a TB on highest setting having a 4/5 port will sound like a hurricane 8-10 port

Is this the same 500AT that was in some of your older recordings? If so, it used to run slower than it does now. Great video BTW!

No, the 500AT heard in my old recordings was a 500AT that used to be near me, but was taken down and a 2001 was placed 1/2 mile from it. Shawnee County now only has 2 500ATs left, both of which i have videoed.
