Ahahahahaha

I wonder how well those aluminum horns will hold up in the next storm.

Wonder what federal thinks of this?

When I talked to this guy last year on eBay he said none of them have been installed in any towns.

I think we should ALL e-mail Federal Signal with their link. It's one thing to make copies in China and sell them domestically. It's a whole different ballgame when they are sold in the US where the design is patented. I've already done so.

I haven't come across any patents of the Model 2 or any of the sirens that the Chinese company makes. I don't think there are any.

and even so, any patents on the model 2 would have expired a long time ago.

Do you think this has escaped Federal's notice? They're a lot slower on the uptake than I thought if that's the case.

Lion King is doing what many have done. There's nothing unique or patented about a rotary siren, and there's a long line of chicken feeder style housings from a variety of vendors over the years. Plus, patents expire after 17 years (20 years for patents after June 8, 1995).

Siren Specialists

I usually do not post replies, but I thought that I had to in this case. I do not know who this company is but they are new. It seems that the users of this board have overlooked the most important mistakes on this site.

1. There is a picture of the Model 2 that said Electronic siren on the icon

2. The model 2 has in red 1.5 miles radius and in the specs it is 1.5 in diameter. However if you do the math the coverage of a model 2 at 102db at 100' is 880' which is less than a quarter mile.

There are so many mistakes on this site that it is embarrassing for the company I stopped at 15 mistakes. This company cannot be "Siren Specialists"

LOL. Yuh. "Electronic" sirens refers to the likes of Whelens and EOWS's. ELECTRIC would be a better description, in my opinion.

SIRENMAN, do you work for any REAL professional siren companies?

Those guys are not siren specialists.

I can prove it:

This is the model # for this:

Electric Omni-Directional
MODEL: SIREN-STH21-2

DUAL TONE
ESTIMATED 2 MILE
WARNING RADIUS

The model says "STH", but the description says "Dual Tone".

STH stands for "Single tone high".

Is it single tone or dual tone?

Piski said, "STH stands for "Single tone high".
That stood for "single tone high" with Federal, but here it means "Cheaper Chinese Knockoff."
