How Many other towns use Thunderbeams?

Down here in Texas, we've got a few.

Grapevine, Texas has one Thunderbeam in its system.

The EPZ system for Comanche Peak has a BUNCH of Thunderbeams, which are supposed to be getting replaced with ASC I-Forces eventually.

I only know of 2 in the Kansas City area:
Pleasant Valley, MO has one next to the fire station.
Mission, KS has one at Johnson Dr & Lamar behind the school.

There is also one at 103rd & Sunflower Rd in Clearview City (De Soto, KS)
Kingfisher, OK Also has one in the Downtown area.

We've got one back in my home town of Warner Robins, GA. Sadly, it no longer sounds due to it being decommissioned about 10 years ago.

Out here, I got a T-Beam about a range of 20-50 feet from my home, I could see it if I rode my bike about 5 houses down. Bourbonnais, out town, uses two T-Beams, 2 3T22s, and one T-Bolt on the Olivet Nasiren Admisstration building that you can bearly see it if your in the inside lane on the turn right next to it. I'm kinda in 'siren central'. I can here my T-Beam, the other T-Beam- the moaning wind up and down of the T-bolt, and the far off, and the not so far off, T22s.
Now one of the T22s is about 1/2 mile away, the other I have yet to locate. Another T-Beam is off the lower section of Bourbonnais, probably near that other 3T22, and I like to see that one too. When my parents pay me my owed 20 dollars, with my sisters 6, I'll buy a CPU game, and a cheap 5 dollar camera to take a bunch of siren photos for you guys. I grew up on T-Beams!

scroll down to 'Cornell Drive' and work up along Cornell. Near the gas station's side ally outlet, you'll see a shadow stick cross the road, and if you follow that left, you'll see a little object, That's out T-Beam.

In St. Peters, a far-western suburb of St. Louis, there are 3 T-Beams. There used to be 4 but one was replaced about 3 years ago by a 2001. Another T-Beam, in St. Paul (another far-western 'burb of St. Louis) was replaced a few years ago by a Whelen WPS-2807.

The T-Beam has a nice sound to it. Another relic of the Cold War.

You sure the Thunder Beam is still running in De Soto? As far as I know, that one and the thunder beam in spring hill, KS were both removed around the same time.

I've seen a few different thunderbeams around. I've never heard of one still being functional. I guess the disc pretty much falls out.

Welcome to the board, Dieselfan66! I agree with what you're saying, since the one in my home town (see picture that I previously posted) wasn't that old when the gearbox quit working. It was a good design in theory, but it seems that quite a good number of the ones still out there have a problem with the gears in their gearbox.
