Even tho I am a huge siren fan, I don't think I would ever wear a siren shirt out in public...or to school.
BTW: Welcome to the board, very awesome to see someone else from Topeka on these boards (I too am a Topekan)

QUOTE"I don't think I would ever wear a siren shirt out in public".....WELL when YOU catch me about town YOU will know its ME....Perhaps YOU have seen MY truck.....The dark Blue FORD Explorer with a few extra antenneas on it w/ the Federal Safety Yellow colored "This is a unit of Civil Defense" front tag....
I told my wife that I practically grew up under the Thunderbolt at 15th and Lincoln here in Topeka......Not the original siren in the neighborhood, we lost it in the '66 tornado, the one that is still there today replaced it sometime in late '66 - early '67......Perhaps those loud Dbs at such an early age warped my brain

Never seen you or your car. I grew up a block away from that Thunderbolt siren at 15th & Lincoln (Robinson)...it is the siren that started my interest. Do you know what siren model was there before? And where it was located? That siren is one loud siren, I could hear it all over inside Robinson.

sirens are ubiquitous and loud--how come we're the only folks who seem to notice them?

I clicked on the name to see what other products that user had. It's the Michigan Civil Defense Museum selling that shirt.
