You don't usually hear STH-10s in alert. Great vid!

Not usually for fire calls, anyway. Back when I was a kid, however, we had a bunch of fire sirens, many of them single tone, that used to sound in Alert for fire calls. There were a fiew xT22's which would also sound in Alert for fire calls, and they used to confuse people in my area. They were probably 3T22's with broken solinoids, but nobody ever did anything to fix them. Just before the VFD's in my county went to an all pager system, PRP VFD #1 started sounding their fire siren in Attack instead of Alert, and since it was single tone, it didn't confuse anyone that I knew of.

Alert for fire calls was more common on the east coast but some places in the Midwest. My 6/10 Decot use to sound in Alert or just sound as it was just a switch they turned on. When it was in service in Rock Springs WI
