Nice pictures Eric. Once again you were right by me and didn't tell me .

For those of you who are interested, I have a video of the siren below sounding for the monthly test.

You also missed this Whelen on Station 12.

I went there once. There isn't a lot there except for a general store that sells some good BBQ sauce.

I didn't take any pic's of the SD-10 cause I already have a bunch of it in my Photobucket, BUt i didin't take many upclose pics of the Lion.

The trip was short notice, took me 5 mins to plan it out. when I get another weekend off, I will be going up M-15 to search.

Looks like an SD-10. There's something like that set up in Crescent, OK. A Sterling Dual-Head on the water tower and right between the water tower and the fire station is an FS Eclipse 8. And about 2 1/2 blocks away is what I assume to be a Darley Model 2.
What else am I suppose to do? Read a book?

What is that YELLOW BOX on the traffic signal?
Not the correct place for a pedestrian signal.

those are pretty common in michigan. That is a sign that can light up that says 'left'
as seen here (the one in the picture says 'right'): http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3163/269 ... 2a.jpg?v=0

That would be a Federal Model K. Looks like they either ordered it without the light, or they removed it. It's basically like a Model L, only mounted vertically instead of on a swivel base, and normally it would have a red light on top.
I think that siren is just a Model LV. The little nub on top might be where the conduit is entering. Cool ad by the way, where did you get it from?

Good point, I was thinking that too but was hesitant due to I have never seen an LV with the galvanized cap on top. Oh thanks, holler sent it to me a little while back. If you want, I can PM you that and the second page with all the small sirens on it. :)

the yellow box is a lighted sign that says LEFT
it's pretty much standard with center left turn lane control signals around here
