New York City Warning sirens

Any body know of these. I was watching a video on the attack of the world trade center and after the first attack, sirens started going off in Attackmode, also heres a video of a siren sounding in Alert in New York City http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRp1RIUe ... do%20siren

Hmmm. When I visited New York City, I didn't see any sirens. Maybe someone has pictures?

well, I thought that there was an old chrysler(SP?)siren in Rochester,but I doubt it still works.

There was a post on this site a long time ago about NYC dismantling its siren system, which was quite extensive in the 1950's. There was a photo of an old WWII Sterling 2V8 or something like it on the roof of a subway station, but there are only a few left from what I understand.

I do know that after 9/11, Federal Signal had a mobile Modulator at Ground Zero



And they also installed Directional Speaker Arrays (DSA4s)

yep fed was there the next day, wish they wouldn't have to be used in dat fashion thought...in fact I WISH the attack didn't happen at all..those poor people
